Don M. Swartzentruber, MFA
Don Swartzentruber [swärt zen trü ber: pronounced phonetically] completed graduate work at Vermont
College of Norwich University and has
served as adjunct faculty at Indiana Purdue Fort Wayne University and Grace
College and Seminary. He has exhibited art nationally and is the recipient of awards and grants for his instruction and studio practice. Swartzentruber creates his enigmatic iconography in the
historical Billy Sunday community of Winona Lake, where he resides with his
wife.
He is an energetic speaker who is comfortable challenging his audience's presuppositions. He has presented at the Midwest Scholars Conference, Notre Dame Center for Ethics and Culture, Indiana Art Education Association, and various other venues. Swartzentruber is available to speak on issues related to visual art, the Christian faith and the Bible and various cultural issues. Occasionally he publishes informal conversations about faith on the Carnival Sage Youtube channel.
